If you have just passed your test but still feel hesitant
about driving alone and tackling motorway driving then do
not fret; most driving instructors offer a special course
that can be taken when you pass your test that introduces
you to motorway driving and builds your confidence

Many people consider the experience of owning and running
their first vehicle to be the ultimate declaration of
freedom; they can now travel anywhere they like under their
own power and do not have to rely on family for lifts, or on
public transport. Although owning your first vehicle is
almost considered a rite of passage many people who pass
their test are not prepared for the huge costs that can come
with keeping a vehicle on the road; these can include costs
associated with fuel, insurance and servicing. The best way
to try and keep down the price of motoring is to pick a
vehicle that is not overly expensive on insurance; a
sensible car with a reasonable engine size will usually cost
less for motor break down cover too. Many people, especially
young lads, are keen to get a sporty car for when they pass
their test but this comes with extremely high insurance
costs so it is recommended that you run a sensible car for a
year or two until you have earned some no claims bonus and
your insurance will have fallen.
