Aladdin is an animated movie produced by Walt Disney in 1992. The main characters are Aladdin, princess Jasmine, and the Genie.

The movie depicts the story of a young man called Aladdin, who leads a nomad life with his monkey, Abu, all over the East.
One day, he met by chance a young woman : Jasmine. They spent the whole day together, got better acquainted, and a love story started between them. Jasmine told Aladdin her identity, and Aladdin, aware that a princess would never marry a mere vagrant like him, he asked the Genie to make him look like a prince.. It was a success since Jasmine burnt for him.
But like in every animated movie, there is a villain who tries to end the love story. In the movie, the villain is Jafar, Jasmine's father who works for the Sultan, and who is in a mad rage because Jamsine refused to marry another man because of Aladdin. Jafar wanted to get his revenge, and after several investigations, he discovered that Aladdin had lied to Jasmine and he was not a prince.
As a result, Jasmine felt betrayed, and the wedding was canceled.
Thereafter, others adventures followed on, until the denouement when jasmine and Aladdin were back together for good.

After the release and the success of the animated movie, Disney decided to create an animated serial, also called Aladdin.

But first of all, Aladdin used to be a One Thousand and one Nights tale. In Arab it means faith nobility.
