Area 51, or “groomlake” and also known as Watertown, Dreamland, Paradise Ranch and as many other nicknames, is a geographic area located in the United States, and more precisely in the desert of Nevada and close to Las Vegas.

It spreads on a 155km² surface and the whole place would be constantly monitored by hundreds of cameras. Its geographical bounds are surrounded by diverse warning signs urging curious travelers to go away.

The reason why this place is so carefully watched and protected from outside invasions is because it stands as the den of American military experiments.
Indeed, the whole area is dedicated to military research, which are kept under the seal of secret and benefits from a maximum protection.

Groomlake for instance, is the non-conventional base for aircraft tests, and would even keep within it some Soviet engines.
Many programs started during the Cold War to test new prototypes of military weapons and aircrafts.

The American government doesn't deny the existence of this area, but remains totally mute on what is done there.
The Area 51 is not even represented on any of the government's maps! Some photos of the place have even been destroyed and official Atlas make no distinction between this area and the NAFR.

All those secrets made a fertile grounds for all sorts of imaginative things.
The most famous legend surrounding the Area 51 tells that American use this base to do experiments on Aliens and UFOs. This would indeed be the place were Roswell's flying saucer crashed...
The place would also be the scene of a global plot, with a world government ruling from there.
Some people even argue that it was the station where the “fake” moon landing of 1969 was shot.
