The bingo is played in a convivial way, once a year, around the end of the year, in a small sized group. A leader draws a ball or a chip, where is written a number (usually from 1 to 90). So as to be really random, the chips are hidden in a bag and the leader draws the chips without having a look at them. As soon as he drew a number, the leader announces out loud the number written on the chip or the ball.

The players are given one or several bingo cards. Each card contains 45 squares arranged in nine vertical columns and five horizontal rows, with some empty squares, and the others have a number. After the announcement of the number drawn by the leader, every player verifies if the number is on his card, and if so he checks off the square.

Then comes another draw and so on, until someone wins. The first person to have a card where the drawn numbers form a specified pattern (usually in a straight line) is the winner and calls out the word "Bingo!?.
