Bowser is the villain character of Nintendo's Mario series. He is Mario and Luigi's enemy. Bowser kidnaps Princess Peach because he wants to reign over the World and the Mushroom Kingdom.

In some games, he is not part of the evil characters-such as in Super Mario RPG. Browser can prove to be human sometimes, since he is in love with Princess Peach and marries her in Super Paper Mario. In addition he is introduced as an idiot and a simpleton in some Mario games.

Bowser appeared for the first time in Super Mario Bros in 1985. He is portrayed as "King of the Koopas".

This character can also be found in games that have nothing to do with Mario Bros. It is the case in Tetris on the Nes console as well as in SimCity on Snes (1991)- in which he plays the part of a "natural disaster" annihilating the city.
