Brain : All The Best Free Flash Games Relating To Brain

The brain is the central organ of human beings and animals. In the body, it is a sort of spongy mass (it's made of about 75% of water) that is for most animals located in the cranium.
It supervises the whole nervous system of vertebrates and of a certain number of invertebrates. We could compare it to a kind of control station that commands the body movements (like the heart beats, or the temperature...)

It is a very complex machine, divided into several «areas», all commanding specific functions. It is made of more than 100 billions of neurones. Neurones are the cells that transmit to the brain all the “signals”, or informations, sent out by the body. These signals travels through the nerves to end up their course in the brain, where they will be processed and given an answer.

Sensations ( pain, pleasure...), but also functions ( why we grab a pencil, we walk...) memory, language, intelligence, thoughts are produced or “stored” in the brain! We know that intelligence and conscience result from the brain's activity, but scientists have difficulties finding the cog in the machine that is at their origin.

Brain

Brain develops during childhood before reaching maturity. Nobody knows why some people are endowed with extreme intelligence and can solve incredible mathematics operations while some others are a bit slow on the upbeat. What's sure is that size doesn't matters! The whole male chauvinistic idea that women have smallest brains than men, and are therefore less intelligent cannot be proved!

Some animals don't even have a brain! Sea stars and urchins for instance, only responds “physically” to basic reflexes!
