Buffy is the name of the main character of the TV show Buffy the vampire slayer. This TV show is inspired from the eponymous movie created by Frank Rubel Kuzi, which were released in 1992. If the film was not very successful, the TV show has been a hit in so far as it was broadcast during 7 years, from March, 10th 1997 to May, 20th 2003 on the WB network, and then on UPN.

The TV show depicts the story of a teenager confronted to her destiny and her slayer duties. She is the one in charge of the struggle against vampires and evil forces. This teenager is called Buffy Summers, and she lives in Sunnydale, where all the evil forces gather.

To face her enemies, Buffy is helped by the friends she met at the Sunydale high school. Among them there is Willow, a nerd who will turn into a powerful witch, Alex, a clumsy and not very gifted guy, and Cordelia, a cheerleader who got involved in Buffy's adventures against her wishes. Buffy is supervised by Rupert Giles, an Englishman sent by the Council so as to assist, advice, guide, and above all watch her out.

Throughout the seasons, Buffy struggles against enemies more and more powerful like vampires or any kind of devils.
