A championship is a sporting contest organized for the position or title of a winner. Championships' outline might be summed up as follow: round after round one sportsman or a team must be defeated for a single person or a team to stand out as the championship's winner in the end.
In most sports, we refer to the series of competitions as a championship, except for soccer worldwide contests, called “world cups”.

Championships are held at a global scale, to determine a national or a world champion.
