Tom's Games >  Classroom

A classroom is a place where kids and sometimes even adults attend courses. Schools, depending on their size, have dozens of classrooms where various subjects are taught.
Teachers stand in front of their pupils, usually on some sort of a platform, so as to be seen by everyone.

Teachers used a blackboard in the late 20th century, and a piece of chalk to write the most important informations on it. But today, the blackboard is replaced by a whiteboard and use a felt-tip. This practice is more and more common since many kids got asthmatic problems which become worse due to chalk dust.

A “normal”classroom is located in a school. There are desks and chairs so that pupils can seat and write their lesson. But in developing countries, schools are not quite the same as in rich countries. Indeed, in some African areas, there are no specific designated place where teachers can work. So they chose a place that is in the village or just next to it to teach their lessons. They usually pick a tree-shaded place, sheltered from the sun.

Teachers can teach various subjects, such as mathematics, literature, grammar, geography, and so on. Today, subjects have expanded to music, movie-making, fine arts. Computers are also part of the educational program of pupils nowadays...

Did you know that school is old as the hills? Or almost. The first elementary school is said to have been created in the 5th century, in the wake of the Byzantine Empire creation.
