A dragon is a legendary creature represented as a long reptile that has bat-like wings and spits fire or ice. It is a symbol of natural strength and power. Some heroes and gods would have to confront a dragon before being sacred as such.

In our Western culture, dragons are to be met in fantastic tales. Whereas it is a mythological creature in some Eastern countries and represents either good or evil in some local traditions.

Mystery remains concerning its origins since it is part of the human imagination. About twenty years ago, a 6,000 years old grave was found with dragon representations. Dragons have sometimes been used as religious symbols in Far-East countries, on the same level as sirens or sphinx that have all been represented in many religious monuments.

In fantastic literature, dragons are often described as smart creatures, endowed with speech. They are often linked to magic and witchcraft. Dragons usually live in deep caves and its hiding place is full of secrets no human should ever discover.

Some people swear that they have seen dragons. A man has even taken a picture from a plane while he was flying over the Himalayan mountains: the picture shows two huge reptile like tails, apparently covered by scales!

You can meet the sympathetic dragon “Spyro” or follow those world warden dragons in a role-play like “Warcraft” or simply use them as a mount like in “Warhammer”...

On certain sites, you can even raise a baby dragon and teach it all the tricks you know! It is a real success in Japan, it goes without saying!
