Final fantasy (FF) is the greatest role-playing game ever, produced by Square Enix, initiated by Hironobu Sakaguchi in 1987 in Japan on the NES video game console, with the game Final Fantasy 1.

This game should have been the last chance for the firm Square and this is where the name Final Fantasy comes from. But fortunately for them, and for us, the game was a hit and the serial of FF games is going to continue for a long time. Nowadays, the creation of FF XIII is in progress and will be divided in three games. The last game released so far, FF XII, was acclaimed by the fans all over the world.

But Square Enix's talent is not restricted to video games, they also create animated movies such as Final Fantasy : The Spirits Within and Final Fantasy VII : Advent Children (the movie from the biggest hit of Square Enix, FF VII).

Square Enix also produces many games around the universe of Final Fantasy, like FF Tactics, the serial FF Crystal Chronicles, and many other little games released only on cell phone.

Recently, a project has been in progress, Dissidia, a game including all the characters who contributed to the success of FF : Tidus, Squall, Cloud, Djian, Wakka, Vayne and many others.
Square Enix also has another project, Kingdom Hearts gathering FF and Walt Disney characters.
