Tom's Games >  Football table

Playing table football is for everyone who enjoys sports, especially as a supporter.
To play a game of table football, you need a sort of rectangular table, that represents a reduced-scale soccer field.
Two goals are positioned at each end of the field, marked by white lines to add a bit of realism to the game.
The field is crossed in its width by several rotating bars fixed at each side of the table.
22 figures, 11 per team, are mounted on the bars. Each bar stands for a players' line of position : there are bars for goalies, fullbacks, midfielders, keepers...
The ball is solid and no bigger than a golf ball.

To play table football, you first need to choose a team. From this decision will result your positioning around the table, as you can only command the little figures of a same team from one side of the table. Bars can only be rotated and pushed or pulled to move the players around a static axis. Handles to rotate or move the bars of a team are all positioned at the same side.

You must attempt to score by kicking the ball in the opposite goal. To do so, make use of the bars
to kick or to intercept the ball with your figures' feet.
You play a whole team, not one player: this is very challenging!

Table football is also played in competitions. Players are bound to respect the rules and are not allowed to do some shots, like a 360°-degree shot, or “spinning” (when a player spins a bar instead of doing wrist strokes). In competition the ball moves at a speed that goes up to 35 mph.
But playing table football is mainly a recreational activity to pass time in pubs, lunchrooms...
