Fort Boyard is a familial entertainment TV show, such as ?Who wants to be a millionaire?? for instance, and was first broadcast in France in 1990. Nowadays, the TV is still broadcast in France and it was such a hit, that the show has been adapted to many other countries, such as Denmark, Sweden, Russia, the Netherlands, Canada, Israel, Turkey, South Korea and a pilot was made for the USA in 1992.

The goal of the game has always been the same for more than 15 years, and the game is divided in various parts :
-In the first part, the players have to get back keys contained in rooms by completing tests. These keys, allowing the opening of the treasure room's gate at the end of the game, can also be won by answering correctly to riddles.
-In the second part, players have to complete tests so as to get clues enabling to figure out a mysterious word that will be essential at the end of the game.
-The third part is a confrontation against the darkness masters, where the players have to win small reflection, dexterity, and logic tests, so as to earn extra time in the treasure's room.
-During the final part of the game, players have to figure out the mysterious word thanks to the clues. Once the mysterious word is figured out, players try to collect as much money as possible in the treasure's room, and bring it back in a case before the gate is closed.
