Galactica is an American TV show, broadcast on the ABC network between 1978 and 1979.
Humanity lived on twelve colony worlds, in a far distant star system. After a thousand years of continuous war, a reptile race, the Cylons, disappeared. However, this race didn\'t have the time to command their servants robots to stop fighting. So, the robots (also called Cylos) kept on doing what they were made for : the war. They attacked by surprise and defeated the twelve colony worlds.
The colonies were permanently under Cylos attack, helped by a traitor to the human race, Count Baltar. The human who survived gathered and created a fleet, under the protection of the last inter-sidereal craft, the Battlestar Galactica. Commander Adama took the lead of the crew and started seeking the mythical 13th colony, a planet called Earth.

The twelve colony worlds of Kobol constitute the human civilization in the science-fiction TV show Galactica. They are commonly called Kobol\'s colonies or simply Colonies. For the little story, in the show, the twelve colony were created more than 2000 years ago, by the twelve tribes human tribes coming from Kobol, the mother planet of humans. Each tribe settled on one of the twelve planets.
