Garfield is a fat orange black striped cat, he is selfish, lazy ans spend most of his time eating, sleeping and tyrannizing the people around him (among which Odie, the stupid but likeable dog of the household to which he's always playing tricks). Garfield has an oversized ego and thus thinks he is the center of everything and that cats are the most evolved species on planet earth.

Garfield is not the lonely kind : he has a girlfriend cat, Arlene (who is very touchy about her gap-teeth) but he is sometimes cruel, especially with Nermal, the world-cutest-kitten, which he purposely sent to Abu Dhabi. Apart himself, Garfield cares about a teddy bear named Pooky ; he is also friend with mice, which he refuses to chase and even bribe them and play cards with them. His hobbies includes chasing the postman, eating lasagna (Garfield was born in the kitchen of an Italian restaurant : Mama Leoni's Italian Restaurant and immediately ate all the pasta and lasagna in sight, thus developing a taste for lasagna ) and playing tricks on Odie. He is also a real coffee fanatic , especially on the morning, when he is obnoxious before having some. Garfield is thought to weight around 35 lbs (16 kg).
