Originally, geography designs the study of the Earth surface. Geography has been for a long time a science which goal was to answer four major questions, who, what, where and when. Geographers focused on the population and its organization, the impact of the mankind presence, and the spatial and temporal localization of human activities.

Geography has changed a lot along the time, and nowadays, geographers study more the spatial dimension of the society. There are three major fields in geography. There is physical geography, which studies the middle back, human geography, and regional geography.
