Ghost Rider is the name of a comics character created by Gary Friedrich and Mike Ploog in 1972 for the firm Marvel Comics. This Comics turned into a film in 2007, starring Nicolas Cage.
The main character of the comics is Johnny Blaze, the son of Barton Blaze, a stuntman. Johnny's parents passed away and he was taken in by a friend of his father Crash Simpson, and his daughter Roxanne. Then Johnny becomes a stuntman and practices with Crash in order to set the most amazing motor bike stunt entertainment. Unfortunately, Crash got seriously sick and to save him, Johnny sells his soul to Mephisto. Crash was cured, but died in a motorbike accident, and Mephisto fails in taking Johnny's soul thanks to the help of Roxanne. To get his revenge, Mephisto contaminates Johnny with the spirit of the demon Zarathos.
During the night, the demon controls Johnny's body who turns into an ardent skeleton, and go struggle against urban violence on his fire-wheeled motorbike, equipped with his mystic chain. There he is, the person called Ghost Rider.
The comics depicts the adventures of this half-human half-demon character. Ghost Rider creates alliances with other superheroes like Spiderman, Dardevil, or Wolverine. His enemies are called Snakedance, Orbe, Aquarius etc...
