You may have heard of ghosts, you're less likely to have seen one...A ghost is a supernatural creature. It is the vision of a thing that the minds associates as being the manifestation of a dead. Ghosts are also known as ectoplasm, poltergeists, phantoms, ghouls. A ghost is like the materialization into something (a transparent corpse, a shape, a shadow...) of a dead soul coming back from the beyond to accomplish something unfinished or to take revenge of something that happened when it was a living person made of bones and flesh.

Of course, the question of whether ghosts truly exist divides populations: some people firmly believe in ghosts and some others lift the eyebrow with a hint of skepticism when it comes to speak about the presence of a spirit that returned from death. Sciences always debunked the idea that ghosts were for real, and psychology tends to explain the vision of such creatures as being an element repressed by the psyche that resurfaces.

Of course it's a great challenge to our reasonable mind to believe in ghosts. Furthermore, never did it happen that a great mass of people saw a ghost as the same time to assert and prove the existence of ghosts. That's how ghosts are depicted in various ways: ask someone to draw you a ghost, he'll either do a form covered with a white sheet with a ball in chain around its ankle, or a bride with no reflect in the mirror, or a floating person. No one knows how to “kill” a dead person, and it is said that ghosts come out their graves and live in cemeteries.

Ghosts are celebrated during Halloween, the party that follows the All Soul's Day, and ghost stories are frequently updated in those of modern urban legend. One example? It is whispered that some ghostly kids may sometimes be pushing train commuters on the rail...
