High School Musical is a television film, a musical, broadcast in 2006 by Disney Channel. In 2007, there was a High School Musical 2, and in 2008, High School 3 was released to cinemas in 2008.

There are two main characters : Troy Bolton (Zac Efron), Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Hudgens). They are students, and have the same passion : music. Both want to be in the high school musical and they decide to work together. They become friends.
But they are very busy with other activities (sport, science...) and their friends Taylor and Chad, don't want them to leave the basket ball team and the science club so they decide to prevent them from going to the audition and to throw a spanner in the works for them. Troy and Gabriella have also competitors who want to be in the musical : Sharpay Evans (Ashley Tisdale) and her brother Ryan (Lucas Grabeel).
Finally, they succeed in being in the musical, and get over obstacles thanks to friendship.

Children and teenagers (especially girls), love the High School Musical movies. The first part was rewarded by the Teen Choice Awards and the Emmy Award in 2006.
