Iron Man is a comic character created by Stan Lee in 1963 for Marvel Comics. He is one of many super-hero created by Stan Lee with among others Spiderman, Daredevil and The Fantastic Four. Originally the character of Iron Man is not the main protagonist of his own comic, he appears first in Tales of Suspense and became a full-fledged superhero in 1968. The Iron Man comics were published at 332 copies until 1996.

Unlike the usual super-hero, Iron Man does not draw its strength from supernatural powers, but rather from a self-made armor that makes him way more powerful than ordinary mortals. With his armor Iron Man can fly and has overpowering weapons.

The hero in the armor of Iron Man is Tony Stark, a wealthy arms manufacturer industrial but also a playboy who arouses the admiration of everyone. He has not always been a superhero, originally he was just a manufacturer and bear little concern for his fellows citizens.

It was during a trip to Asia to visit a factory and to demonstrate a new weapon, that he is wounded by local criminals. Fragments of ammunition get stuck within his body. Captured, Tony Stark is equipped by a system liked to his heart in order to protect it from the fragments. Then he has to build a weapon for his captors with the help of a captive scientist.

Instead of a weapon for his enemies, Stark builds a suit of armor that enables him to escape. Returning home, he becomes Iron Man, and began to fight for Good.
