Tom's Games >  Kart racing

Kart racing is the first discipline practised by professional motor racing pilots. The kart is a little four-wheeled single-seater vehicle and with an overall weight of 200kgs (440lbs) including the driver. Karts can reach speeds exceeding 150 km/h (93 mph) and superkarts can reach speeds exceeding 250 km/h (160mph). Se, despite their tiny size, karts are really brisk and fast.

Kart racing is a sport practiced in three ways (renting, leisure, and competition) on special tracks between 700m and 1200m (435/750 miles) that can host up to 30 karts simultaneously. A license delivered by an association or a club is needed to take part of official racings.

The kart man has to wear an integral helmet, a neck brace to protect the neck, a suit for the body, gloves, and shoes with thin sole so as to feel the pedal, and a protection for coasts in case of collision.
