Kenny McCormick is a fictional character of the South Park animated television series. This 8 year old boy with Scottish roots attends South Park Elementary School in 4th grade with Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski and Eric Cartman. He's the poorest kid in town. The other kids often tease him about his lack of money and his father's distinct penchant for alcoholic drinks.

Kenny wears an orange hooded parka. The hood covers half of his face, making visible only his eyes. When Kenny gets scared and wants to “withdraw” in his shell-like hood, he pulls up tight the cords of his hood. As a result, the lines of his speeches are always muffled. Kids can get what he says and usually take a good laugh just after he spoke, resulting in the spectator's frustration to have missed what seemed to be a pretty good joke! He says disgusted things: if you pay attention you may be able to pick a word or 2, for Kenny's lines really mean something. He's voiced by Matt Stone who speaks on the palm of his hands to create the muffled sound.

Kenny's knowledge of life and sexually-oriented topics is wide! He has a twisted mind and a poster of a busty lady in bikini pinned up on his wall. He's a mine of information for his friends and provides them with many tips about girls. He's the first who ever got high on drugs who ever got laid.

From season 1 to season 5 Kenny was doomed to die in every episode. But he would simply get back to normal (to life!) in a following episode, without any explanation given. He died in many weird ways. Rats would often come to gnaw on his dead body. The running gag went along with a catchphrase yelled by Stan and Kyle : “oh my god, they killed Kenny” “you bastard”. But the episode “Kenny dies” put an end to the routine of killing Kenny. In this episode, Kenny is really seen dying and everybody in South Park assume that he'll never come back to life. Fans of the TV series didn't mourn Kenny for too long, since he was reintroduced in the show at the end of season 6.
