Kill bill is a two-volumes film written and directed by Quentin Tarrantino. The first episode was released in 2003, and the second only one year later.

The two films revolve around a central character, only known at first as the bride, a woman obsessed by taking revenge of Bill, the leader of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad.

The first episode opens on a massacre: The Bride, and her future husband are about to get married when some people break through the place and fire at them. The Bride is the only survivor, but remains in the coma for several months. When she is teared down from her deep “sleep”,sorrow fills her heart as she remembers the death of her fiancé and of the baby she expected.

Spectators discover little by little that the Bride used to swim in troubled water and used to work for Bill, a criminal in the high spheres of the organized crime.

Only moved by revenge, she draws a list of people involved in the massacre. One by one she will kill all those whose names appear on her list. The last name of her list is Bill, and the 2 episodes are build like a video games where you are supposed to kill the “boss” at the end of the last level.

From Mexico to the US, china and Japan, The Bride, in her yellow and black suit will face incredibly well-trained villains, expert in martial arts like her.

The two films accumulate references, anecdotes and echoes to Bruce lee or John Ford movies, and even to Tarrantino\'s ones: Thus in a scene, the bride drives past an advert for Red Apple cigarettes, a brand invented for the character of Bruce Willis who buys some in the movie Pulp Fiction.
