As the parties unfolds, it is possible to maximized the amount of playtime. Mahjong requires strategy, calculation and a certain amount of luck(depending on which of the many variations of the game you are playing).

Mahjong has appeared during the Middle Ages in China, but it grew more popular in the West with the expansion of Internet. Traditionally, tiles represent forms such as bamboo, rons, honors ... but there are different variations on cooking, sport and many other activities. The legend has it that, Confucius, the Chinese philosopher had invented the game in 500 BC. Indeed he was a bird admirer , which could be a hint of the reason why it is called Mahjong (meaning sparrow).

In 2005, the first European championship (Open European Mahjong Championship) was held, with 108 entrants and in 2006 the WMO (World Mahjong Organization) was founded in Beijing (China). The same year a Mahjong video game: Mahjong Taikai was relased on Nintendo Wii and Sony PSP.
