MMORPGs are worldwide on-line games that allow the players to create a character and to make it evolve in a virtual persistent world [PW] (meaning it is always changing, improving; the game does not stop when the player is not connected). Some off-line games such as the Animal Crossing series

This type is of game has lately been generating quite a controversy, regarding to the considerable amount of time that players spend in front of their computers, indeed those games are endless and you always find something to do (improving your abilities, your equipment, your weapons...).
