Naruto Uzumaki is a twelve year old boy who lives in the hidden leaf village of Konoha. Ninjas are living in this village, and they protect the land of the country. Naruto has always been abandoned by his peers and rejected by adults since birth. Indeed, the legendary fox demon called Kyûbi, attacked the village when Naruto was still a baby and the fourth Hokage (village head) had lock up the nine tailed fox demon within him. Since then, everyone despised and ignored him, which is probably part of the reason why he is always messing around in order to get the attention on him.

His dream is to be the future Hokage, the greatest ninja of the village and be recognized as such. However, in order to achieve that he must go through many hardships with Sakura and Sasuke, the other members of the Kakashi team (named after their ninja master)

Naruto is a Shônen (Japanese comics) for boys with action, violence and fighting. It was published in 1999 in Japan. This manga has a huge success in the land of the rising sun with 71 million volumes sold, and more than 2 million in the United States.

Naruto animated series (anime) is broadcast on TV Tokyo in Japan since 2002. Since 2004, six Naruto-licenced movie came out in Japanese movie theaters and in OAV (Original Animation Video, directly available on the market without any further broadcasting) in Europe.
