Off-road vehicles (or ATV for all terrain vehicle) are the most polluting and oil consumer cars of the world, even though they are so appreciated by urban people. There are ATV competitions consisting in driving on dunes or steep slopes in a limited time. In these events, there are muddy parts, where trying to avoid getting stuck in the mud is a real challenge. Competitors have to adopt a sportive and efficient style of driving to reach the chequered flag in first position.

ATV most famous constructors are Nissan, Land Rover and Hummer. ATV can have two or four-wheel drive, and some vehicles can switch from one to another.

There are several ATV games allowing various contests on more or less difficult tracks that can be played in solo, in time trial, or against opponents.
