The Olympic Games are a multi-sports event, occurring every two years (Olympic Games of summer and winter alternatively). Olympic Games were created during the ancient Greece (Olympic refers to Olympia, the city that organized it, and located next to the Mount Olympus, the mountain where were living Greek gods). And the concept were renewed by Pierre de Coubertin in 1900.

Nowadays, any country is allowed to participate to the Olympic Games, and a committee takes a close look at the application of the cities willing to host them. Modern Olympic Games have been evolving for years and new sports frequently appear. Winter Olympic Games are still a little bit less famous than Summer Olympic games because they regard a population more restricted. Summer Olympic Games are one of the most watched event in so far as almost every nation is represented, and most of the current sports are present.
The symbol of the Summer Olympic Games is the Olympic flame, which goes from Olympia to the host city via a relay race. The flag symbolizes 5 rings of different colours (One ring for a continent), which are all joined, broadcasting a message of peace and brotherhood through sports.
