Tom's Games > Paintball
War is no longer a “privilege” for panic-stricken soldiers.
The invention of Paintball now allows many amateurs to play war, reactivating their childhood memories. Remember when you used to shout “bang bang” at your little brother, threatening him with your gun-shaped plastic toy ?
Well now, you can have a whole playground turned into a battlefield. It is not for real of course, but everything in Paintball is made to simulate a true war : Players are divided into 2 equal teams fighting each other on opened areas ( forests, or disused manufactures). It can also be practiced indoor on gaming rooms dedicated to the activity.
Everything in Paintball is made to reproduce the conditions of outdoor or indoor battle scenes: Guns are a very realistic imitation of war weapons, the only difference being that balls of paint replace bullets. Players have to wear a special gear (plastic glasses...), to avoid getting stained on their proper clothes or hurt with the contact of paint balls. Finally, trees, bushes or manufactured obstacles are part of this particular war setting, as they can protect the player from being seen or shot by his opponents.
In the end, after having run, crawled, hidden and shot every moving things, the 2 teams count their number of casualties: color stains printed on their gears testify of the number of shot they did !
For even more realistic effects, you can try the Paintball Camo. It is the same role playing game, but gears and weapons are the very same than those used in the army !
