Pay day is a game inspired from other board games such as Monopoly or the Game of the Goose, and it was made by Parker.

The game is played with a game board, one die, six playing pieces, fake banknotes, various cards and a Savings and Loan Calculator.
Each player starts with an amount of money, they roll the die, and follow the instructions written on the calendar spaces on the game board. Some spaces enable you to buy swimming pools or castles in Spain for instance, and then, you may sell it back if you land on the proper spaces.

Other spaces compel you to pay an amount of money that may be expensive or not. There are also mail cards that can have varying content. Some cards bring bad news, such as bills, some are just entertaining (junk mail...)

Unlike numerous board games like Cluedo or Boggle, no video games about Pay day have been released yet.
