A quiz is a form of mind game where players (single players or teams) attempt to answer correctly to a set of questions. The winner of a quiz is the person (or team) who managed to score the highest number of points. A point is scored when one correct answer is given.
Quizzes may be held on general knowledge subjects (with questions picked from a random list of general knowledge facts) or on specific subjects (like sports, music, history, popular culture...).

Answers to a quiz's questions are usually short (one or two words). For some quizzes, players may be asked to select the correct answers out of the choices from a list.
Many TV shows (Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Jeopardy, The Weakest Link), board games (the famous Trivial Pursuit), competitions ( the pub quizzes for instance) are based on this form of game. Playing a quiz usually brings a friendly atmosphere!
