Rubik cube : All The Best Free Flash Games Relating To Rubik Cube

The Rubik's Cube is a puzzle game created by Erno Rubik. He was an Hungarian teacher and architect, and as such, he was looking for a way to teach his pupils to think in 3 dimensions.

He had the idea to create a cube of which each side would be divided into 9 little squares – that is for the standard Rubik's Cube, that is 3×3×3. He wanted his pupils to understand the inner mechanism of the cube: how could these little squares, yet linked to each other, rotate following three axes?

This is what we can call a brainwave. Then, one of his friends advised him to color each side of the cube into a different color, to appear funnier in the eyes of his students. This is what we can call a brilliant idea. This detail enabled the Rubik's Cube to become one of the most popular – if not the most popular – games of the 80's.

The Rubik's Cube was commercialized in Hungary 1974. 6 years later, in 1980, the Cube spread over the rest of the world.

The objective is no longer to understand the inner mechanism, but to solve the puzzle by moving the squares until they form a same color on each side.
This discipline turned into a real sport: the World Cube Association indexes all records (solved with feet, one-handed, blindfolded).

Thus, for instance, the speed record for a standard Rubik's Cube is 7,08 seconds...
As for the “Pocket”, the 2×2×2, the record is held by the same man, a Dutch. He solved the cube in 0,96 seconds!
