A sport is an activity involving physical efforts and skill, in which an individual, or a team, usually competes against another person or team. A sport is usually governed by a set of customs and rules, especially when it is a competitive sport. But many sports may also be practiced for a recreational purpose or for physical enhancement. A sport is not a game. The difference lies in the degree of involvement one is ready to have in a physical, or mind-based activity: a game is just for fun, a sport is more than fun.
From the average man view point, a sport is a physical activity involving commitment toward a club, a team or oneself. Sports allow people to test their ability to surpass themselves and to take up challenges. When you start practicing a sport, you start from scratch. It's really self-satisfying to improve your skill step-by-step, and, after a while, to look back in the past realizing how much stated objectives you achieved. Team sports are really good on human terms: on the sports field you are given the chance to prove your partners that they can count on you and to learn fair-play basis.
