Men have always hunted tigers, for pride, supposed medicinal properties, selling of their fur or as a distinguished sport during the 19th and 20th centuries. However, tigers have also killed men, especially when preys become scarce in some areas due to men\'s settlement or climatic changes. But tigers remain very appreciated and are often used as symbols in the Asian culture or as characters like in the Jungle Book (Shere Khan is Mowgli\'s enemy)

In Florida, a female tiger interbred with a male lion resulted in a giant “liger” that already weights half a ton at 3. The creature is probably going to be 12 ft tall when it reaches its adult size!
