Twilight is a series of four books written by Stephenie Meyer, adapted to movie. They are divided in four chapters.

The main characters of this saga are :
Bella Swan (played by Kristen Jaymes Stewart for the film). She is a normal human being, but she can protect herself against mental attacks.
Edward Cullen (played by Robert Pattinson); he is a vampire and he can read in people's mind.
Alice Cullen (Ashley Greene)is Edward's sister ; she is a vampire too and can see the future.
And Jacob Black (by Taylor Lautner) : Bella's friend. He is a werewolf.

The first chapter "Twilight" was made in 2008 by Catherine Hardwick for the cinema. Bella Swan moves to Forks to live with her father. She meets the Cullen family and falls in love with the youngest son, Edward Cullen. But she discovers that they are vampires and that they are vegetarian : they only consume animal blood. They have a love story and she wants to become a vampire too.

The movie had a huge success in the world. Twilight grossed 35.7 million on its opening day in the United States (behind Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince). Twilight received many awards : for example, at the MTV Movie Awards, it won the Best Movie Award, the Best Kiss and the Best Fight award...

In the second chapter called "The Twilight Saga : New Moon" directed by Chris Weitz in 2009, Edward leaves Bella in order to protect her. She is overwhelmed with grief, and tries many times to commit suicide because she can hear Edward's voice in these dangerous moments. She is rescued by Jacob Black, a friend which is in love with her. Through a series of miscommunications, Edward believes Bella has killed herself. So he decides to die. Fortunately, Bella and Alice, Edward's sister, go to Italy to save him in the nick of time.

Robert Pattinson, the actor who plays Edward Cullen was Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. He is very popular today thanks to these films : all the children and teenagers know him, and girls are in love with this beautiful boy.
