Wakfu is the sequel of Dofus, a 2D MMORPG that was an incredible hit in France, but was not very successful in other countries. It was created by the French developers of Ankama. The game constantly evolves so as to offer experiences always different to the millions players who play this game.
It is a pay to play game, but it also offers a limited free content.

A contest has been realised in partnership with Tom's Games so as to allow the players to test Wakfu in exclusivity before its release, by playing to the beta-test.

The story of Wakfu sets 1000 years after its predecessor's story, while the world is submerged by seas and there are only some scarce islands left at the surface of the world.
Wakfu's world is quite similar to Dofus' world, the fauna and flora have little changed. The player will have to create alliances and fight against other players and monsters. Wakfu will permanently evolve depending on the events.

A TV-show, some comics, a newspaper, and various tie-ins have been realised around Wakfu's universe, which enabled the Ankama company to grow quickly and reach hundreds of employees and a turnover exceeding 10 millions whereas the company is only 15 years old!
