The Yeti, also known as the Abominable Snowman or Big Foot, is a mysterious creature that appears in Nepalese legends. It is also called migö in Tibet. The Yeti is a hairy primate, with a face resembling of human?s. Its size would be between 1.50 and 3.75 meters. According to some witnesses, the biped measure of the Yeti is rather similar of bear?s moves than primate?s moves. This contradicts the fact that the traces regarded as being Yeti?s traces have been followed over very long distances; a bear can?t stand erect on long distances.

The assumptions about the origin and nature of Yeti are numerous. One of them referred to a great ape from China called Gigantopithecus. Some people believe that the Abominable Snowman is related to primates of India, orangutans or Neanderthal men. Apart from several witnesses, the main indices for the existence of the Yeti are specific footprints in the snow and excrement. But for most scientists, anthropologists and sociologists, the Big Foot is only a legendary creature of Himalayan mythology.
