Yoda is a character from the series of Star Wars films. He is easily recognizable by his physical appearance and his way of speaking. He is a green-skinned very little character, with long sharp ears, who inverts the words when speaking. He is more than 800 years old and is less than 3 feet 2 inches tall.

Yoda is a Jedi, that is to say a knight-monk who works to maintain the peace in the galaxies. He is among the most powerful Jedi. He has the rank of Grand Master of the Jedi Order. As being a Master, he can have young trainees, also called padawan. Yoda had 5 padawan : Dooku, Mace Windu, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Ikrit, and the last Luke Skywalker. Yoda is also is charge of the education of young Jedi aspirants, and teaches them the basics of strength.

Yoda appears in 5 of the 6 movies of the saga. In The Phantom Menace he teaches his knowledge to young children and he is the first to warn his Jedi friends of the danger that the young Anakin is likely to bring. In the Clone wars he takes the lead of the clone army. Then is one of the only Jedi with Obi-Wan and Anakin to survive the revenge of the Sith.
