The M3A-MVP will be based on the RD780 chipset, which is the single graphics version of RD790 (16 instead of 32 PCI Express 2.0 lanes). PCI Express 2.0 doubles the bandwidth per lane and stream from 250 MB/s to 500 MB/s. This motherboard supports DDR2 memory up to 1066 speeds, SATA RAID (4 ports), HD Audio, Firewire and HyperTransport 3.0, which is part of AMD's Socket AM2+ specifications to support Phenom X2 and X4.
