X38 Diamond uses conventional heat sinks rather than heat pipes. However, it comes with four x16 PCI Express slots and an eight-phase voltage regulator, which is usually hard to find in MSI's portfolio. All components are color-coded, and the board supports both DDR2 as well as DDR3 memory.
